German Training Volume
I have heard Matt Vincent talk about how he starts every off season doing 10 sets of 10 for 10 weeks, I was wondering what your thoughts were as an olympic weightlifter, do you see doing this type of program with assistance exercises that are commonly done in weightlifting programs useful to build a good base of strength and then move into a more specialized program after this is finished and a max out week to determine a new baseline?
I don't know of any weightlifters off of the top of my head who start with that type of volume.
